Tendervane vs Altura
Altura helps you win the tender. Tendervane gets you there a year early.
These are different tools for different moments. Altura is enterprise bid-management software: AI proposal writing, document analysis and deal boards for teams that answer many live tenders. Tendervane works the phase before any of that exists, mapping which Dutch IT contracts come back to market in 6 to 18 months so you are warming the buyer while others wait for the publication.
| Side by side | Altura | Tendervane |
|---|---|---|
| Price | From around €20,000 per year plus onboarding from €3,000 (per TenderApp's published comparison) | €249 or €499 per month flat; from €2,490 per year on annual billing |

Pick Altura when
- You submit ten or more serious bids a year with a dedicated bid team and the bottleneck is writing quality at speed.
- You want AI drafting trained on your past proposals inside a managed workflow.
- A five-figure tooling budget with an onboarding project is normal procurement for you.
Pick Tendervane when
- Your bottleneck is not writing, it is hearing about opportunities when the requirements are already locked.
- You are a 20 to 250 person IT supplier without a standing bid office, and the sales team runs pursuit.
- You want a pipeline for deals that exist before the tender does: five of Tendervane's seven pipeline stages happen pre-publication.
- The whole tooling budget is closer to €3,000 than €23,000.
The honest version: this is not a knife fight, it is a relay. Tender advisors themselves publish that buyer engagement should start 12 to 24 months before publication. Tendervane is built for those months; Altura is built for the weeks after the tender drops. Plenty of companies would rationally run Tendervane for €249 a month to feed the pipeline and keep Altura for execution. If you must pick one and you have no bid team, pick the one that changes which tenders you are in.

Straight answers
Is Tendervane an Altura competitor?
Only at the edges. Altura's centre of gravity is bid execution after publication. Tendervane's is renewal intelligence before publication. The overlap is alerting, and even there the angle differs: Altura alerts on published tenders fast, Tendervane estimates what will publish months ahead and labels every estimate as an estimate.
Why does Tendervane not write proposals with AI?
Deliberate. By the time proposal writing starts, the winner is often effectively decided by whoever shaped the requirements early. Tendervane spends all of its effort on that early phase. For drafting there are dedicated tools, Altura among them.
Where does the €20,000 figure come from?
Altura does not publish a price list. The figure comes from TenderApp's public comparison page, which states Altura starts from €20,000 per year with mandatory onboarding from €3,000, checked on 4 July 2026 and linked below. Treat it as an indication and confirm with Altura directly.
Can a small supplier justify either price?
The public math helps: a serious tender response costs €4,000 to €10,000 of internal time per submission, and guided trajectories run €10,000 to €20,000 per bid. Against that, software that gets you into the right pursuits earlier is cheap. The question is which phase you need help with, writing or timing.
